Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Envoy adds several items to the options list, including XM Satellite Radio (and a new stereo to accommodate it), a DVD-based navigation system and adjustable pedals. There are also a few minor equipment changes this year. In SLE models, the door trim is now vinyl instead of cloth, and lumbar adjustment for the front seats is two-way manual rather than the previous four-way feature. Additionally, there is no longer a power outlet in the cargo area, and SLE badging will no longer grace the B-pillars. SLT models also get a revised steering wheel. Lastly, when playing a DVD in Envoys with the optional entertainment system, you can now hear it through the audio system in addition to the wireless headphones.
- Plenty of cool options, strong six-cylinder power, attractive interior design.
- Numb steering, low-grade interior pieces, sloppy handling around corners.

Beat up by GMC - 2004 GMC Envoy
By Tom Murphy - August 28 - 10:00 amI am havong major problems with my Envoy. It started from the day I drove off the lot. The envoy is sitting in my back yard and has been for close to a year. GMC will not perform ant warrenty work on it. They also will not perform any recall work on it. The complete experiance has been awfull. I have a folder at home that is about3/4" thick of all the paper work that tall this has created. I dont know what to do at this point.

First Impressions - 2004 GMC Envoy
By wwhc43a - July 16 - 10:00 amI looked far and wide for the best deal on an SUV regardless of brand or ultimate price - hey, I like to save LOTS of cash on a vehicle I like. Without influence by sterotype reviews that always seem to bash American- designed products I went SUV shopping. The ENVOY won my game. I got a great price ($25,222 out the door including all taxes, etc.) for a vehicle that was priced after taxes at around $35,000. AND IT IS A WONDERFUL VEHICLE TO DRIVE-- AND LOOKS GREAT. I have had some time to inspect the interior and exterior build - especially the engine, frame, etc. I AM IMPRESSED.

Best kept secret is the GMC Envoy - 2004 GMC Envoy
By gaines - May 20 - 8:09 pmGreat vehicle! Has power, comfort and safety features galore. Fuel injected v-8 can run with anybody, yet if you keep your foot out of it gets relatively good mileage. We have the SLT XL package. Its loaded with leather and all the other bells and whistles. Do yourself a favor, drive one when you get serious about looking for a quality ride.

Awsome ride! - 2004 GMC Envoy
By Dee - May 10 - 2:40 pmI bought my Envoy new and I absolutely love it! I have had minor problems. Driver window sticks 2/3 of the way down and will not roll up or down. It has been in the shop 19 times and everything has been replaced but the wiring and the window. The 4wd light is starting to flash for no reason so it is going back to the shop. Other then this, I love the Envoy. The Envoy with the 3rd row seat has a much better ride the the ones without! It glides down the road just as well as a Cadillac. My husband refused to drive it because he is afraid he will fall asleep behind the wheel because it is so smooth.

Buy this SUV!!! - 2004 GMC Envoy
By lec - April 16 - 10:00 amI just cant tell you how in love with the Envoy I am!!! We were looking for several months for an SUV. We have a 4 1/2 month old and we were so concerned about safety for him and comfort for us and the Envoy was the right choice for us. We looked at many different SUVs...All american I must say..Jeep, TrailBlazer, Grand Cherokee, etc... By far the GMC Envoy had the most complete safety package for the money and OH MY....just try to compare the interior to anything else!!! (leather) I love this SUV!! I hope that this review is helpful in your decision.

By Nicelilfox - April 3 - 2:00 amI traded in a 2003 Durango less than a yr old. A gas hog and rode like a tank. I drove and researched SUVs for 3 months. Hands Down this truck takesem ALL :)Its gas mileage is 16-18 city/20- 24 hwy
and handles like a charm expecially in deep snow and mud. I havent had any problems and Im looking forward to future models. I can only imagine it gets better from what Ive read so far. YOU GO ENVOY!!! -

THE LITTLE KILLERS - 2004 GMC Envoy
By zbobgo - April 3 - 2:00 amTHE ENVOY HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR MORE LITTLE THAN THE LAST 5 NEW VEHICILES THAT I HAVE OWNED COMBINED. GRAND AUTO IN DENVER WAS THE WORST DEALER TO HAVE BOUGHT THE ENVOY FROM. THIS PAST YEAR THE PAINT BEGAN TO PEEL ON THE FRONT BUMPER. THE DEALER THAT I HAD TAKEN IT TO FOUND THAT THE BUMPER HAD BEEN PREVIOULY DAMAGED AND GRAND AUTO ACTED AS THOUGH THERE HAD NOT BEEN ANY DAMAGE AND REFUSED TO TAKE CARE OF A POOR REPAIR JOB THAT THEY HAD DONE.
