Overview & Reviews
After last year's major upgrades, the 2007 Ford Explorer sees only minor equipment changes. The base XLS trim level is deleted, and all Explorers now come with an input jack for MP3 players and revised interior door handles. All models can now be equipped with a navigation system and heated windshield, and the optional rear entertainment system gets a larger screen. Power retractable running boards are a new option for Eddie Bauer and Limited models, while XLT buyers can get the Ironman Package, which provides a monochromatic black exterior and two-tone leather seats. Ford has extended drivetrain warranty coverage to five years/60,000 miles.
- Excellent ride and handling characteristics for a truck-based SUV, spacious and quiet interior with user-friendly layout, standard stability control system and integrated rollover sensor.

Very Happy - 2007 Ford Explorer
By Tony - February 19 - 7:33 pmWe just bought a Eddie Bauer V6. Traded up from an 02 Sport Trac. It rides so much better than the Sport Trac. We did not get all the goodies but what we got for our money was a very good value. Looking forward in 3 years to getting a 2010 model. It will be here soon.

Limited 4X4 V8, 07 - 2007 Ford Explorer
By suvfan - January 8 - 8:35 pmPick up the truck 2 days ago. During the first 2 days of ownership, I have to say that we enjoy the truck very much, quiet, smooth, wonderful stereo (audiophile) equipment, user friendly DVD and fully integrated Nav system. Independent suspension is probably one of the best in the market. Ventilated disks are very responsive. The award winning V8 definitely deserves its reputation as one of the top 10 engine of the world. The gas mileage is the same as Duratec V6 and is better than most trucks in the market including Japanese competitors.

Ford Explorer V8 - 2007 Ford Explorer
By Grover - December 14 - 8:23 amJust bought the XLT with the V8 fairly loaded. Traded up from a 2002 XLT. Very happy so far. Had to hunt around NJ to find a XLT with a V8 and the 2007 appearance package, which makes it look a lot cleaner. The new V8 is awesome, quiet with a little growl when stepped on. Very smooth acceleration. Would not buy the V6, just too slow. Extremely quiet and confident ride. Also, the best thing about any Explorer that nobody talks about is that the seats are very comfortable. Perfect seating for cruising around with your arm hanging out the window on a nice day. Like a real truck.

Review 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Loaded - 2007 Ford Explorer
By John Minor - August 5 - 12:40 pmI need a dependable used SUV for some light off road trips for camping and fishing. Found this one with 166,000 miles on it but for its year it was in excellent condition. The leather seats were still in very good condition with no cracks or tears. The V8 engine is powerful and can pull a trailer it boat. The car drives nice both on and off the highway. It doesnt have all the safety bells and whistles a new explorer would, but it was perfect for my needs. Best of all was the price-$4500!!!
