Various changes for 2005 include revised option packages and trim equipment, a redesigned instrument panel cluster display and a more powerful 5.4L V8. A Limited trim level debuts this year, and includes unique body-color exterior trim, special interior trim and power-adjustable leather seats. A King Ranch package is new this year, and features unique interior and exterior trim, wood interior trim (both real and fake), unique wheels and exclusive leather seating.

My onboard computer reminds me that this huge vehicle averages over 20 mpg. I preferred this to both the large Lexus, Tahoe and Toyota. Ford has hit a homerun with this versatile vehicle. The Eddie Bauer model is worth ther extra money!

My fourth - 2005 Ford Expedition
By Deano - December 21 - 10:14 pmFord must be doing something right-- this is my fourth Expedition. My latest is the Limited model. Overall, I love it. Its got more pickup and better gas mileage. The build quality is superb. Its quiet, tight, and handles well for a SUV. However, whoever designed the main instrument cluster should be tested. Its my only sore point in an otherwise outstanding vehicle because it looks cheap and is not in keeping with the rest of the Limiteds features. Why wont Ford at least offer Michelin tires as an option? My wifes Lincoln has them and they are much better tires than the Continentals. Even so, I would gladly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a full size SUV.

The stability, handling and power of the expedition is excellent. The gas mileage is great, 22 hwy. and 16 city. That is great mileage for a big powerful and comfortable vehicle like the expedition.

By Vanz73 - October 15 - 2:00 amI purchased the a new 04 Expedition seven months ago to replace a 97 Explorer. Overall we (the family) are very pleased with the vehicle. On the positive side it rides well, handles good for a big vehicle and has good pickup when you need it. The inside is roomy and comfortable. The heated and cooled seats are a little strange at first, but they are a nice touch. Overall this is a great vehicle if you want a large SUV.
