  • So far so good - 2004 Dodge Intrepid

Grabbed this car due to an amazing deal I got. It does handle pretty well for such a large car. I lowered my reliability rating because of Chryslers apparent lack of responsibility as far as the 2.7L engine goes. So far all is well, though I keep Mobile1 running through her. If my engine does fail, DC better be ready for a stink!

  • So far, so good - 2004 Dodge Intrepid

My wife drives this car and drives it badly. Ergo, my fuel economy when she drives around town is about 16 mpg. When I drive on the highway, I get 29 mpg. Its difficult for me to get my fat self into the front seat, so the the power seat is a plus. It handles well and runs quietly. Ive changed the oil twice so far and it hasnt siezed up yet, imagine that! Anyway, the looks of the car are superb, but looks wont hold value if the guts of the car are weak. Depreciation is a big minus on this car, so Id recommend you buy one used after one or two years and not more than 20,000 miles. The car handled our family vacation marvelously, the trunk room and back seat room were worth it!

THE BRAKES ON THIS CAR ALWAYS GO OUT SO EASY.THE ENGINE LIGHT CONTINUE TO COME ON. THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG.MY CAR TAKE TIME TO STARTED UP. THEY ALSO SAY THAT ITS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.I BELIEVE THAT THEY DIDNT PROPERLY CHECK IT BECAUSCE I WAS UNDER WARRANT.I WISH I WOULD HAVE NEVER BOUGHT THIS CAR.

just wanted to give a litle feedback about my Intrepid. My car is pretty much a base model ES. although it does have all power options including seats and aluminum wheels. i am very pleased w/ the performance, comfort, and reliability of the vehicle. Very much worth the price. if your looking for a good, comfortable, roomy, and reliable vehicle, but dont wanna pay an arm and a leg...this is the car to buy!!

  • UH oh Watch out - 2004 Dodge Intrepid

Well I bought this car as a used Rental car and I saved a bunch of money on it. I am not sure that this is going to catch up to me or not. I have over 26,000 miles on it now and its been a great car so far, there is a rattling type noise that just started happening towards the front of the car which I have no clue at all what the noise could be, but let me tell you that it is very annoying. I work for a CarMax dealership and we will not even sell a Dodge Intrepid when it has over 60,000 miles on it because as I was told that "they are junk once they get over the 60k mark".

  • Nice style - 2004 Dodge Intrepid

Car is a Model Year 2000 company car, great styling and interior layout. Not fancy inside but has all the necessities. HUGE trunk with inside access - find me a bigger one on a mid- size car. And the interior is very spacious both front and back - more than my fathers Buick LeSabre.Fuel economy isnt great (20-24) but this one has the bigger engine. The Auto Stick is fun to play with but doesnt get used very often. A/C works great. It takes a while to get used to the sloping front end and very high rear when parking - usually leave too much distance. Thanks Dodge for a solid car.

  • Not bad for the price - 2004 Dodge Intrepid

A very reliable car that you can take the family to the park or take it out for a race. As for the car , you get what you pay for. Your not going to expect luxury and comfort as if you do in a BMW for example but it still is a very enjoyable/fun car .
