Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 4.7L - 2005 Dodge Dakota
By CRay - May 22 - 4:10 amIve only had the 05 Dakota for month. Except for the headrest, I love the seats. I have the power drivers seat. Interior space is very good. However, the interior has too much of what appears to be low grade plastic including the door handles. The cup holders in the floor console is a joke and does not hold cups. Didnt find this out until after I purchased.

Upgrade - 2005 Dodge Dakota
By Marcus - April 12 - 12:32 pmOverall a very good mid-size truck that provides all the power and hauling capacity most people need. A definite upgrade in ride, noise and comfort over the previous model. Looks take a while to get used to. Wish the 4x4 sat a little higher and looked different than the 4x2.

2005 Dodge Dakota - 2005 Dodge Dakota
By Bill - March 24 - 9:22 pmJust bought the new model Dakota for 2005. I like the new look but wish the mileage was a bit better. This is not a commuter vehicle. I have detected a vibration at 60 MPH, and I hope the dealer can track that down for me. Beyond that, it is a fun truck to drive.

Beats my Aurora hands down! - 2005 Dodge Dakota
By Trucklover - March 14 - 7:35 pmI had held off purchasing a Dakota Club Cab until they came along with the rear access doors and am glad I waited. The Dakota is a perfectly sized pickup, fits in the garage okay, and love the V8 power. Also am planning to purchase a travel trailer, so I got the towing package too. Good value for the tow package. Its a sharp looking pickup and sounds great with the dual exhaust.

More room - 2005 Dodge Dakota
By vapamd3 - February 12 - 3:51 pmAfter spending 14 years in standard cab Rangers {2} and S-10s {2} i wanted more interior space.I chose the Dakota mainly because I couldnt find a Tacoma or Frontier at any dealer with the options i wanted. I found this SLT and could not be happier. Smooth, powerful, and comfortable. All controls within easy reach -no daytime running lights ,which I love -great sound and features. I needed the tow package and Dodges is one of the best out there.

It rocks - 2005 Dodge Dakota
By mrwilliematt - February 2 - 2:12 pmJust bought a 2005 Dodge Dakota Larimie Quad Cab 4WD, V8. I traded in a 2003 Dakota Quad Cab 2WD with the 3.9 V6. The 2005 rides, handles, and sounds way better than the 2003. I also gets better mileage. I am getting around 17 on the 2005 compared to 15 on the 2003. I know a lot of people do not care for the looks of this truck but as a driver it is light years ahead on the previous model Dakota.

Good Looking Truck - 2005 Dodge Dakota
By Raimundo - March 28 - 10:42 amI have it already for almost 5 years and the only problem I had was replacement of steering links but Im running it with 20" wheels. It is very comfortable, we love it. After that just normal maintenance, oil change etc and a new battery just because of time life. The truck had a couple of recalls and Dodge complied with them with no complains. But I drive it very carefull and dont abuse from it. The best thing is there is not to much technology on it, same as less headechs to deal with.
