This Year's Model Updates:

As it was an all-new model last year, the Charger receives only minor changes this year. A base-level 2.7-liter V6 engine joins the lineup, and there are now all-wheel-drive variants of all trim levels except the high-performance SRT8. For the SRT8, there's a newly optional rear-seat DVD entertainment system with a premium sound system.

Pros:
  • Sports car performance with sedan functionality, firm handling, heady power from SRT8 model, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Heavy curb weight, some low-grade interior plastics, low IIHS side-impact crash-test scores, sedan body style still causes controversy.

  • I hate my Dodge Charger - 2007 Dodge Charger

I bought my Charger new in 2007. Since then I have had to replace a sensor in the transmission. I would lose power and would have to pull to this side of the road, turn the car off and restart it before it would work correctly again. I replaced the front ball joints before 58,000 miles. My blower motor only works on high and my rear defroster no longer works even after we replaced the fuse. I LOVE the look of the car but cant wait to get rid of it. Needless to say, my next car will NOT be a Dodge.

I am a big Mopar fan and had an69 Charger. I got a returned lease SXT with the 3.5 V6 for a great price and only 16K on the odo. I proceeded to upgrade it with a K&N CAI, magnaflow catback exhaust, dark tint, spoiler, custom 20" chromes, 6 Sony speakers and a nice faux wood dash kit. While I wish I had an R/T, the 3.5 is adequate and in all back looks baaaaaad! I am very happy and can haul the family anywhere in style. While my wife hates the loud new exhaust, she is now a fan of Mopar and will get a 300C after years of Ford ownership. Critics be damned, this is a fine car!

  • Makes Me Plum Crazy to drive! - 2007 Dodge Charger

I work at a Toyota Dealership. I was driving a 2007 Charger SXT 3.5 which I was quite satisfied with. We traded for a 2007 Plum Crazy Charger Daytona with only 661 miles. I drove the car and fell in love INSTANTLY! The 3.5 was great but the feel and sound of this Daytona makes me feel like Im 20 years old again. Handles like a dream and its a pleasure to drive. I leave an hour early for work just so I can drive my car!

  • Well refined Hot Rod... - 2007 Dodge Charger

I have owned this car for about 2 years now and so far no regrets. I spend a lot of time in it driving 40+ miles to work almost every day. So far I have no real complaints. Its a comfortable commuter with a more than adequate passing gear and a well equipped sports car at the same time. I would recommend the 3.5L to those who arent concerned with performance, but if you are a car nut like me you should go no lower than the R/T.

  • 3.5L All The Way - 2007 Dodge Charger

Ive had my 07 SXT for a little over a year, and Ive got to say that Im about as happy as I thought I would be with it. This car is big, mean and downright commanding. If four-doors is the only reason people dont like this car, obviously they havent driven one. Seeing isnt believing, driving is. The 07 has a step on the new models, since they down-tuned the engines to save on fuel, but with 250 across the board, that car has absolutely no problems moving. If youre going to buy one, I strongly suggest finding one with the 3.5L, you wont be sorry.

  • Take the 2.7L off the market!!!!!!!! - 2007 Dodge Charger

After buying this car and riding in a friends RT, I should have gotten the RT or SRT8.. Yes the price was nice for a new car but, what was Dodge thinking?? No ABS on the SE and a 2.7L that can hardly pull itself out of the way???(Saves tires I guess). My friend tells me how his RT gets 15-20 around town (depnding on his foot) and a nice 25-30 on the highway.. This 2.7 is getting 12-17 in town and 21 on highway no matter how it is driven. What gives??? Anyway if you want a Charger >>>>>Get nothing lower than the SXT and you will be very happy... Dont get me wrong, I cannot wait to give this to my highschooler, it is big, safe and SLOW!!!

  • I Never Knew It Would Be Like This - 2007 Dodge Charger

I had been looking for a Charger for my wife. I saw this SRT 8 at the dealer so I thought I would test it. It was my 1st test drive of the SRT 8. I had to hold my smiles back when I got back to the dealer office. I rated the fuel economy at 9 and that number is based on muscle car economy. Im averaging about 20 mpg on the highway and that number would be hard to beat for such a powerful engine.

I recently totaled my 08 Mazda 6 so I have been car shopping for a while now. I can honestly say that having an infant daughter, This car is everything I wanted and more. Its Sporty but can also fit a family inside. It hauls major when I need to gas it in front of the guys but also comfortable as a cloud. If youre looking for a Safe Reliable sharp looking car. The Charger is the way to go.
