For 2009, the all-wheel-drive version of the Dodge Avenger R/T has been dropped. The SXT and R/T trims get a few more standard features including a rear spoiler, foglights, antilock brakes and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls. The premium convenience package for the SXT now includes heated exterior mirrors, automatic headlamps, heated cloth seats, a heated and cooled cupholder, remote start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic temperature control and a garage door opener. In addition, all trim levels have more sound insulation to promote a quieter ride. Later in the model year, the 2.7-liter V6 becomes a fleet-only engine option, while the R/T trim becomes available with the four cylinder engine.

Great Car! Fun to Drive - 2009 Dodge Avenger
By Ancona - February 27 - 10:25 amThis is my first car so I can be accused of not being experienced, but I will say from what I can tell. The car is great. It rides smoot and quiet. Very comfortable and has plenty of space for passangers and cargo. It could stand to have some buttons moved around like the hands free button on the left side instead of the right. Overall great car. I love it and plan taking good care of it.

Fierce Look / Frustrated Owner! - 2009 Dodge Avenger
By JJW - October 21 - 1:15 pmI purchased the Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl (paint color) its awesome! The body style looks fierce/mean. The ride is smooth and its got alot of room in seating and trunk space. BUT...the white interior choice is ugly (back deck & upper portion inside the vehicle). The windshield wipers-on highest speed- dont work well. Severe safety hazard. The piece theyve put on the back passenger windows is a BAD blind spot. The "cooler" compartment is a total waste. As you start to drive- when the door locks fall into place, theyre super loud. the turn signal sounds like it was taken out of and OLD car. Very loud with the clicking noise. MANY improvements should be made to this model
