This Year's Model Updates:

The Pacifica is an all-new six-passenger vehicle that combines the attributes of a wagon, minivan and SUV.

Pros:
  • Exceptional comfort for four, drives more like a sedan than a minivan, top-notch safety scores, upscale interior design.
Cons:
  • Average room for six, not as family-friendly as most minivans, gets expensive when you add high-end options, fussy climate and radio controls.

  • Well worth considering - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Owned this car for 2 years. Drove over 2000 miles this summer on trip with wife and two small kids. Great ride, comfortable, not bad gas mileage and enough space. For the features and luxury, very good value. Fairly reliable, never stranded. Biggest problem has been air pressure monitoring system - replaced 2x. In single car accident and no one hurt - very safe. Car repaired and like new.

  • Shopped around - no minivan - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

We shopped around extensively before making this purchase, looking at multiple minivans and SUVs. With a child due in 5 months, we needed a vehicle that would be safe, comfortable, and have enough room for all the "stuff" involved when traveling with a baby. The Pacifica met all our requirements in addition to handling the best of the vehicles, having the most comfortable drivers and passengers seats, and some great options. We believe we got he most for a money and a vehicle we will be happy with for a long time.

  • Love it - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

After 6 years with a minivan, I hated the idea of getting another one. Once I drove the Pacifica, that was it. Have 3 kids and a large dog and still have enough room and comfort. SO much better then a minivan; you can go from hauling the kids to a night out on the town in style.

  • 3 month report - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Purchased car from dealer and was treated extremely well. Car didnt have all the bells and whistles, but had everything I wanted. Best driving and riding auto Ive ever owned. Quietest Chrysler ive had (this is my 4th). Driving up mountains, it labored a little and lowered yyhe mileage. However, it s only gone 4,000 miles so far and has averaged 22 mpg on a 1,200 mile trip from FL to WV. Ive had more compliments on it than any car Ive owned. Love it and highly recommend it.

  • Beautifully Engineered - Not - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Have owned this for 2 years, love the car but have had problems with power drivers seat (motor replaced 2x- even now the plastic that goes aginst my calves is not properly installed - mildew odor when driver window opened - back 3 or so times - finally found clogged drain but smell continues - had problem with front end (think it was tie rod) but due to way car engineered needed to replace drive shaft (?) for $800.00 - of course not under warranty - replaced brakes - rusted and warped rotors - latch that allows entrance to the trunk storage and jack snapped - so I was unable to get access to jack - I knew about the blind spots but did not expect it to be so bad - bad wind noise

  • Mercedes in a Chrysler - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

After driving minivans my spouse was more than ready for this! I do not know from where Ron from OR was talking about. I think the strength of this auto is its handling ability. What a smooth ride. I would agree that even with the 6cycl. it needs a bit more pick-up. AND, after driving fish bowls for the past few years the visibility is not as good--bigger back window needed. Do adults ever seat in rear- rear seats?!

  • LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!! - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

I only have this car for 2 weeks and 800 miles but I just think its GREAT!!!! Ended my lease on an Infiniti early to get the Pacifica. I kept looking at other croossovers and kept coming back to the Pacifica....so glad I did. Very safe and solid ride. So many features I didnt even know about. Gas mileage is fair but hopefully will improve.

  • Pacifica - PERFECT - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

What a car/SUV! I have 3 small kids, plenty of room. Unbelievable utility. Nice leather interior and set up. Plenty of options to move seats, use space for luggage and trips to Home Depot. Large roof rack for additional storage. No problems in ice and snow, quiet and very comfortable

  • Quality Concerns - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Nice Looking inside and out!I was very surprised it was a Chrysler. Drives nice, handles well. I do have a concern on the build quality. Im experiencing rattles, and squeaks...something I have never experienced in the 5 yrs I had my Toyota.

  • This car is an enigma... - 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

Talk about a love/hate relationship! Luckily the Pacifica leans more towards love than hate. Very enjoyable to drive, extremely well built (Mercedes connection really shows here). However Pacifica is not without problems. Awful fuel mileage (13 City/22 Hwy). Acceleration is..um..leisurely. Plenty of power, but poor gear ratios (forget 2nd). Performance is much better using the auto-stick to hold the gear longer. Rear visibility is in a word, DANGEROUS!. Reliabilty good so far (7500 miles) with the exception of new front wheel bearings at about 4000 miles. Conclusion: Do I like the car? Very much. Would I buy another? Doubtful.
