Enjoyable to operate though gas mileage is less than told. The horn does not work. Good view and ride.

  • I wouldnt choose an Uplander as my 1st - 2005 Chevrolet Uplander

We have some problems with our 05 Uplander. The outside trim has been replaced twice and still is crooked. Our airbag had to be tightened and we still have a loud rattle sound under our dash. Overall I would buy a Toyota Sienna or a Honda Odessey if I was to do it over again.

We love this van. I have looked at them all and this one gave us the room that we need. It does not feel like you are driving a van. ItÂ’s great on gas too. Lots of space and much more

I bought this with the hopes for a nice comfertable car that was suposed to be an upgrade from the standerd Venture. What a disapointment.

I have always preferred Chevrolet over Ford products. Mostly I am more satisfied with the workmanship and performance of the vehicles. The Uplander LS may change my mind. I was told on 3/6/06 that the rearend of the vehicle is designed so that if you do not rotate the tires every 6000 miles it will cause the inside edge of the tires to wear faster and feather (have high and low spots.) The owners manual recommends for the tires to be rotated every 8000 miles.

  • Need some improvements - 2005 Chevrolet Uplander

I have owned this car for a year, had some trouble with the front end, other then that, it has been a pretty good car so far. It could be better on gas and comfort on long trips for the passengers. The only thing I do not like is the middle seats do not have arm rests for the passengers, so they do not like to ride in the car.

  • Good Value/Good Choice - 2005 Chevrolet Uplander

Vehicle was bought as the primary vehicle for my 3 kids and my wife. Our kids 10 month,3, and 5 required 6/7 pass seating and an easy way to get to the back row. Uplander was compared to Odyseey and Freestyle. The LT verison was evaluated - MSRP 32.2K for LT,FWD,Premium leather,XM,CD changer,Remote start,(2) power doors,Conv package, towing package, others - reduced to 28.5 k financed b-4 trade in. Likes - XM, DVD, interior trim. Confortable seats (front and last row) for 60 200 lb adult. Dual power doors Dislikes- rear hatch close effort high Rear windshield wiper control location Overall: Solid value/price - good choice

  • Wish for better mileage - 2005 Chevrolet Uplander

Overall I am satisfied with the Uplander. I have had the exterior molding rust (its plastic.. go figure) The miles per gallon was rated at 19/26 and I get no where near that. Definitely a gas guzzler. Very disappointed with the mileage. Comfortable, the heated seats are great for someone with back problems. Husband is diabled and is easy to get in and out of the car for him. The rear seats are hard to put in the upright position. One thing that I would fix is that is nearly impossible to see to the rear passenger side to look for oncoming traffic with the seat in the upright position.

  • Safety issues - 2005 Chevrolet Uplander

When I got in to drive because I am 49" tall I cant reach the gas pedal, and when my husband drove it he had a lot of blind spots because the driver seat doesnt go down and his vision is obstructed, by the roof. He even had to duck to see the traffic lights. We didnt realize it didnt have a power seat. The sliding doors slide shut without warning. Ive been hit with the door and my 4 year old almost got her head caught in the door. The kids fall over at every turn because there are no arm rests so they hang by the seat belts. Drive thru cups fly out of front cup holders going around turns. Was in a really bad accident the OnStar didnt come on and the air bags didnt deploy.

  • Best Van Owned Out Of 12 - 2005 Chevrolet Uplander

This van by far is the most pleasurable to drive on long distances. Since May of 2005 I have logged 17,500 uneventful, trouble free miles. Ive been averaging 25 mpg over all, and as high as 28.5 mpg on are long trips to Florida, averaging 75 mph.
