  • Why buy this truck? - 2002 Chevrolet S-10

After reading several sources, and actually driving several trucks, I chose the Chevrolet. Dodge Dakota was even worse on gas, and the Toyota was higher priced when similarly equipped. Being over 6 tall and needing to have some storage room in the cab, for save keeping travel bags, place for dog to ride when weather bad, and sometimes needing room for 4 people, this was the best truck.

vehicle runs very smooth, makes no engine noises. real reliable car, exterior body style is beatiful, wouldnt mind if interior had a little more silver plated panels, great with gas. probably can need a sunroof, and be a little more wider vehicle

  • 30K and no problems at all - 2002 Chevrolet S-10

Got my blue S-10 extended cab in Feb 02 currently has 30k on the clock (April 03)The 2.2 4 cyl auto is a bit sluggish but more than adequate for light hauling or city driving. Its not a race vehicle by any strech, but it is solid, reliable, comfortable and nice looking and best of all. Not one single problem in 30,000 miles. The 2.2 liter 4 cyl is very reliable. Keep the oil changed and dont abuse - will easliy last 120K

I bought this truck in 1999 with 207,200 miles on it. Its a 1994 with the 4.3 V-6 Highoutput, ZM6 off road suspension. which performs great!!!!! everything is ALL orginal nothing has even been touched. And as of right now i drive over 500 miles a week in it and she will get an amazing 24 mpg on the highway even with over 289,000 miles on it!!!!! People need to get their act together and get off the Rangers and other compact pickups and come get a S- 10!

I have had my S-10 since June. It is a long bed with the 4.3 V6. The engine was the only option that I had in the truck. It runs excellent and has been an excellent work horse. I had a minor problem with the driver side window, but the dealer fixed it asap. I get a lot of compliements on the appearence. It is excellent for hauling
