  • Car is awesome - 1999 Chevrolet Prizm
    By -

I bought my Prizm because of the fuel economy, and figured it would at least get me back and forth throuh 4 years of commuting to college. Its now at 124,000 miles and still runs like its new! There are little things that are starting to wear out now, like my heater/air conditioner blower only works on high, but thats just age and can be delt with. This is a totally reliable car and gets great gas mileage. I average anwhere between 35 and 40 mpg depending on the type of driving Im doing. I would reccomend this car to anyone thinking of buying one. Its a practical car, so if your looking for sporty its not the car for you.

  • Pragmatic Peppy Car - 2002 Chevrolet Prizm

This is the 2nd 5-speed Prizm I have owned - the other I bought new in 1998 that my 64" son drives now (tight fit) & has 125K miles. Ownership experience great for both. 32- 38 mpg depending on conditions. With high gas prices have taken on longer trips recently (10+ hours). The Prizm is designed for commuting around town but the seats are bearable for longer distances by buying a memory foam car seat on eBay for ~$30. 5-speed is the way to go - great stick and it provides the flexibility to delay shift if more accel. needed. Leased 2002s are on the retail market now but most are auto. Great cars!

  • Zippy Car - 2002 Chevrolet Prizm

We bought this car after 2 years of searching for a car that wouldnt aggravate my bad back. This car was perfect. My husband is 62" and he loves the car too. Two or three days after we bought the car, however, we found water in the trunk. The dealer found that water was coming in through both taillights. Since they fixed it weve had no more leaks. I would highly recommend this car. It has good back support, good gas mileage, handles very well, and is fun to drive. The high ratings on this car are well deserved. It is an American version of the Toyota Corolla but cheaper in price. Took the head rests off the back seats for better visibility.

  • Best Used Car - 2002 Chevrolet Prizm

Best used car I ever owned. A steal at current prices. Nice ones can be had with reasonable mileage for uner $7500. Last year ever made, I wish Chevy and Toyota still offered them. (Its a Corolla). Id buy a brand new one if available today. But no, have to go with the 2002.

  • Great Deal - 2001 Chevrolet Prizm

We have had no trouble with this car. It was a one-owner lease, bought by the dealer for sale. The price was quite competitive. We are very pleased with all aspects of the car.

  • Reliable Cutie - 1999 Chevrolet Prizm

I needed a car to get me from point A to point B. My Prizm has a nice design, and is pretty quick with a Japanese engine and drivetrain. I thank Chevy for the decision. Best idea ever--no problems. Only changing oil was enough.

  • Gives me what I have expected and more - 1999 Chevrolet Prizm
    By -

This car is absolutely the best. Reliable, with enough quickness and a nice design (better than his sister Corolla). For a mid-size sedan, it gives what you expect. There are some small design details, but they dont matter. I think Corolla saw that market is going to Prizm, than decided not to give the engine and drivetrain to Chevy. And they stopped the line after 02. How sad.

  • I love my Prizm! - 2002 Chevrolet Prizm
    By -

I bought a used 2002 Prizm (with 19000 miles on it at the time) in 2003. I have never had a single problem during my cross country drives, long work commutes or short errand drives. It starts up perfectly and held up remarkable well when I slid on some ice and nailed a parked car at about 30 mph. It had only a crack in the fron bumper. Reliable is what I was looking for and that is just what I got. I am very happy with my car and see no reason to get anything else.

  • Great Value - 2001 Chevrolet Prizm

This is a great car for reliability and fuel economy. We have had no problems with it and have only changed the oil on a regular basis. Its not a fancy car but for pure value its a great great car.

  • Great little car not made anymore - 2002 Chevrolet Prizm
    By -

I bought this car from a wholesaler and it only had 5K miles on it. Not many features though. Only Automatic with AC and a radio. Still had nubbies on tires. Drives great and is more peppy than my 1997 Prizm. Get 30 MPG in city and 36 highway. I love Prizms even more now that gas is over $2 a gallon. Im on the prowl for another Prizm for my daughter.
