Overview & Reviews
There are only minor upgrades in store for the 2003 Impala. New options include a side airbag for the driver and XM Satellite Radio. Remote keyless entry is now standard and four new exterior colors are available. Both base and LS models get new wheel designs.
- Six-passenger seating availability, good crash test scores, torquey V6 engines.
- Vague steering, soggy suspension, low-buck interior.

One of the best that I have owned - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By A. Lane - October 17 - 10:00 amThis is an awesome, big, comfortable car. Its handling is great and it is very smooth driving. The gas mileage is great and it has a great safety rating. Finally a 4-door sedan that is fun and practical to drive. Congrats Chevrolet on a great car!!!!

Edmunds Editors Dont Know - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By JimS - September 24 - 10:00 amMy fiancee and I have truly enjoyed this car over the past year. It currently has about 71K miles on it (we bought it last year with 63K+ miles). The car handles well for a full size car. The engine is responsive and the interior is very well done. We like it so much that we are about to get another one, replacing a 1992 Cavalier.

Great Combo: Economy, Versatility, Fun - 2003 Chevrolet Impala
By chris_t - January 16 - 2:00 amI *love* this 03 Impala. Base, but w/ 3.8L engine. This gets more than just extra horses...you get ABS + better suspension. Seats 6 comfortably. Interior is well thought out. I didnt get all the bells & whistles, but did get steering wheel controls (worth it!) and package with display (compass, mpg, etc.) in overhead console + auto- dimming mirror (maybe worth it). With all the rebates & reasonable list price, I paid only slightly more than for my 87 6000! Remote Keyless Entry is standard. The Impala handles well on dry pavement, also ice and snow, even without traction control.
