Pros:

Cons:
  • Not quite as much cargo space as chief rivals, some controls difficult to reach, lifeless steering.

  • More car for the price - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

I looked at the 09 Equinox and was not impressed loved the Traverse...but a little pricey and did not like the gas mileage...when I saw an add for the 2010 Equinox I had to go look...it was totally tricked out with more room, and better MPG and a total redone. Loved that it was also less expensive and had more features added.

Had to order the vehicle to get the options and color we wanted but well worth the wait. Took our first road trip within two days of delivery - Jacksonville,FL to Chattanooga, TN yielded 26.6 MPG in regular mode. Return trip in ECO got us 28.5 mpg. Mostly Interstate highway at 70-75 MPH. No problem with acceleration or power in ECO mode on the interstate. Not bad out of the gate. This vehicle is a winner. Glad GM got it right. Comfortable ride, pleasure to drive. Not as quite of a ride as we remember from our test drive, but all in all a great SUV.

  • A winner for GM - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

I have owned my 2010 Equinox for a month. I had the opportunity to take it on a 1400 mile trip which gave me excellent feedback performance wise in different driving conditions- interstate highway, city driving and driving in the mountains. In every case the 4 cyl was up to the challenge either in regular mode or Eco mode. I didnt really notice any difference in performance from one mode to the other- both have more than sufficient power for my needs. The gas mileage meets the expectations given for the 4 cyl. Both interior and exterior quality are big improvements over previous model years. Not only has the quality improved GM managed to lower the price across all Trim levels!

We sold our 2008 Saturn Vue Redline and purchased this Equinox. What an improvement. Amazing difference. Rides better, quieter, same power, and many more creature comforts. There are few options I probably wouldnt have opted for but with limited availability beggars cant be choosers.

  • Very impressed, good buy - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

We purchased the car in late February after waiting 8 weeks for delivery. We were nervous about a GM purchase, but this vehicle is all we had hoped for after 2 months of ownership. We love the style and its drivability. Interior is of great feel and appearance. We love the center console and it is in easy reach of the driver. The navigation system is amazing, we find the seating very comfortable and roomy. We admit we hope the mileage will improve but we have done little freeway driving at this point. The Equinox handled our spring Colorado snows storms with no issues. The quality of the sound system is impressive and easy to use. Congratulations Chevy you got the Equinox right.

  • "road sweep" entering auto at door base - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

Ive only driven my Equinox under 300 miles. I like the way the automobile handles and the comfort of the interior. I worry about future rust and corrosion of the vehicle (see suggested improvement section).

Just the vehicle I dreamed of. It comes with all the amenities expected in a contemporary SUV.Just the feel and looks of it brings joy; with great MPG, you cannot ask for anything else.

  • Real Performer Plus - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

I purchased the 2-LT with the optional V-6 engine 264 HP. Im glad I did. Planning on lots of X-country & long haul driving. Got 22.5 mpg on the first 300 mile trip. Expecting more as engine breaks in. Once I got used to how the trans shifted I was able to really make the car move out. Very smooth and powerful acceleration. Very fast and sure. The manual shift feature really adds a sportiness to the performance. Very sure footed and sporty ride. Feels great as speed. Corners real well steering is responsive and accurate. Interior design nice.Gauges easy to see and read. Night gauge and dash lights are cool. Remote start fog lights rear backup camara nice. Dual exhaust looks and sounds great

  • First GM vehicle in the family - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

4cyl, 2LT, FWD, power liftgate. It feels like a European car - full of high-tech features, nice handling, smooth ride, quiet, well-built, economical. Everything is automatic, from lamps to climate - you just enter it, switch to "D", drive, get the key out, leave. Smooth, quiet ride. Looks and feels way more expensive than it is. For families with car seats - it is easy to remove rear headrests by unlocking them first. Just insert a thick needle (or straightened paper clip) into each small hole in the plastic ring around the metallic rod of the headrest, and use something firm to push the needle towards the lock. Once both locks are unlocked, the rear headrest slides up easily.

  • Enjoying the ride! - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
    By -

I looked at the CRV, Forester, Venza, Rogue. I couldnt get excited about any of them. Waiting has its rewards though as the 2010 Equinox became available. I like the looks and comfort this car has to offer. The large leather seats fit me well, I guess Im just GM-sized! Im enjoying the OnStar, Bluetooth connection and XM radio communication features. The ride is very smooth and quiet. The 6 cylinder engine moves the car smartly down the road. The 6 speed tranny seems to work well. Letting off on the accelerator is like applying the brakes since it seems to adjust to the change instantly and starts slowing down. I appreciate the backup camera and backup sensors when I put the car in reverse
