  • Exceptional car - 2004 Chevrolet Corvette

Its a rush to drive. Take your pick, every day car - or - bat out of hell...its both. For a sports car, this thing gets incredible gas mileage - over 30 on the highway. Not bad for a car that easily blows most others off the road.

What a disappointment. Its like driving grannies Sunday to church wagon. Sounds like a diesel at idle. My 85 and 91 will run circles around it. I think most buyers rave about it because they are too embarrased to admit that the new Corvette is a mere shadow of its former self. We have been brainwashed by the tight squishy plastic Japanese cars. Give me the Corvette roar and rattles. Its like moving from a Harley to a Honda. Im depressed.

  • Great car to drive - 2004 Chevrolet Corvette

I have owned 4 Corvettes C3,C4, two C5s and they have all been fun cars to own. They have always been way ahead in design and performance over the competition and provide the most bang for the buck against any country against any car!Take the new C6 that will be available in a few more months you would have to pay several hundred thousand dollars in Europe for a comparable car from Germany or Italy. Americans can buy this car for $65,000 to $75,000. Where else can you go and get this kind of styling, perfomance, handling, and 50 plus years of Corvettes, no where! Have you ever seen any old Porsches selling for $150,000 to $300,000? Check out online for classic Corvettes 1953 to 1973!

  • Dream Car - 2004 Chevrolet Corvette

Unbelievable fun. The 2004 Corvette convertible is an uncompromising combination of power, handling, comfort, sound, and looks. The build quality is exceptional surpassing any Japanese or European model. This car is built for speed and handling but there is an added bonus of unquestionable good looks. There is a great deal of thought in this last version of the C5 with minor improvements throughout. You cant buy a better car for the money. Unlike other cars in its class the corvette can be used as a daily driver. The ride quality with the selective magnetic ride control makes a big difference over earlier models. The interior is basic sports car and it should be! Its a Corvette.

  • High quaility performance vehicle - 2004 Chevrolet Corvette

Very easy to drive and handle. The power (350+hp) to gas milage (30mpg) is totally mindblowing. The monitoring system is a great without the complexity like in other vehicle(very user friendly). Love the controls on the doors-clearly visible at night and sealed as to not get a debris in the switch areas (easy to keep clean w/o damaging the controls). Love it!!!

  • Pretty but it loves the repair shop - 2004 Chevrolet Corvette

50th annaversary edition. 1280 miles and its been in the shop five times. Relaced the ride control computer twice, left rear shock (part of ride control problem), air conditioner repairs twice and now the gas gage doesnt register past a half tank! What a piece.

  • Fits like a glove - 2004 Chevrolet Corvette

Waited 50 years to get a Vette! I feel like Im in a jet fighter with unbridled power. The power is awesome at almost any RPM. Gets plenty of attention, especially from young kids! Love the feel of control, comfort, power. Drove 1300 miles roundtrip from NJ to SC and not an ache or pain.

  • Fun Car - 2004 Chevrolet Corvette

A real screamer. Loud as hell. Lots of engine note and road noise. Take the good with the bad, I guess. Chevy dealers (service depts) need to get used to dealing with people who paid 50K+ for a car and are used to BMW/Mercedes standards of service. Treating service customers like crap wont do.

Second corvette in 4 years, owned a 1999, loved the car, had one issue w/ electrical system, which dealer took care of. Sold after two years for the same price we paid for it.

  • Serious performace - 2004 Chevrolet Corvette
    By -

This is my first experience with a true performace car. Ive driven Z3s and other roadsters and they were fun to drive but this car is serious! In fact I now wonder if I shouldnt take some more driving lessons so I can get the most this car has to offer. Theres nothing worse than a low performace driver in a high performance car.
