First to Clarify, I have a z85 ext cab automatic 4X4 with 3500 vortec. This truck is terriffic! It runs great:Power(not as torquey as the old 4.3 but power throughout the RPM range is much better) And it rides like a car. Most comfortable, best handling truck I have ever been in. Besides loaded Silverado. I took this truck for the 24hr test drive and liked it so much I bought the demo. The stereo with XM is great. People bust in the interior as being bland and cheap..Come on , its a truck and the controls and instrument layout is cool and functional. Tacoma same overall look to inside but much coller outside.

I like the power and handling. Body styling is great. Wish more space is provided for my subwoofer box.

Keep in mind that I am upgrading from a 89 Ford Ranger XLT 5 speed manual standard cab with 4 cyls. With that being said, I looked at the Nissan Titan, Toyota Tundra, GMC Canyon and the Chevy Colorado. Ruled out the Titan and Tundra for gas mileage and size. I was impressed when I drove the Canyon and went to the Chevy dealership to do the 24 hour test drive as the Colorado was available. I ended up purchasing the Colorado. Found one with the features and options I wanted. After driving this machine for a week-and-a-half I am very impressed. Good ride, smooth and easy to drive. I’m glad I chose this vehicle. See my favorite feature list.

I went from a f250 to the colorado. Power was a bit lower but it more than made up for it in performance and gas milage. Only problem I had was something loose above the adjoining doors on the drivers side. Dealership fixed it without a fuss. So far the truck has been awesome. The exterior is fantastic. The interior is great, just wish it had the sunglass holder thing on the inside roof. Im 6 ft 3 and I fit in it just fine which is a big plus. Was concerned about the lower power (compared to the 250) but so far the truck has come through without a problem.

could use the six cylindar back....it would give it a little more pep too make the driving experience a little better.

GM did a great job with this truck. I was a little skeptical about the 5 cylindar idea, but this truck just blew me away. It climbs hills without any hesitation, it handles very car-like and it looks tough! And Im talking about the extended cab Z71 4x4. On a bumpy road, its a bit rough, but for normal driving, it terrific.

Great truck. Has a great balance between power, fuel economy, size, and style. I really like the looks inside and out. I have the victory red w/ painted fender flares. I am averaging 19MPG with 700 miles on the truck. Driving a mix between city and highway.

I bought this truck and use it for work and towing my boat. I have a 21 foot C.C. weighs about 3500 Lbs loaded full. I use to tow it with a jeep cheerokee, and MAN what a difference....I hardly feel the boat behind this truck. I got the 4wd to have added security in getting the boat out of steep slick ramps. The dealer tried to tell me all I needed was the "tracction Control System", which this truck has as well....I tested it...low tide, steep slick ramp...I needed the 4wd to get the boat out. All in all..a great truck!

Ive owned this truck almost 2 months now and have driven it 4,000 miles. I love everything about it so far. It is a great step up from my 1991 S10, and the rear seats in the ext. cab seem much safer than the 1994-2003 Ext. Cab S10s. The ride and handling are great. The I5 engine has got plenty of power and torque to get the job done. My truck has the I5 Engine, Automatic Transmission, Locking Diffential, 4wd.
