Overall, a good truck if small/mid- size meets your needs. I downsized from a Siverado--after the honeymoon of a new truck wore off, I wished that I kept the Silverado. For me, the 3.5L is underpowered. Its great around town--not pulling a trailer or without a load. Otherwise, youve got the keep the RPMs pegged to retain any sense of power. A lot of plastic on this truck--it looks great on the showroom floor but quickly dulls. The truck drives good--especially off- road. However, the 4WD/Z71 suspension is a little rough and dicey at times in the urban jungle--probably due to high center of gravity and short wheel base. Great sport truck--poor work truck.

Drives well. Nimble for its weight. Interior is quiet.

Supposedly a work truck, front tires destroyed due to front end"misalignment" due to vehicle loading (tool box and ladder racks weighing less than 300 lbs.) Was advised by service department to purchase new set of "truck" tires since the ones that came with the truck were passenger tires.

I have a lot of fun w/ my Colorado. I take offroading pretty much every weekend. I have had a couple of problems w/ it, like some electrical issues with the ignition and starter, but that is to be expected with a new style vehicle. I am confident that Chevy will work the bugs out of it, and it will be one of the best Mid-sized trucks on the market. The biggest issue that I have is the lack of accessories available for it. I want a lift-kit, so the thing can have a little more ground clearance. So if you chevy manufacturers are listening, get one on the market, quick. Again, overall, I love my truck.

Overall Im very pleased with my new Colorado, its an improvement over my old S-10 . First of all there is more power! You can accelerate up hill with ease. It drives strong with a load as well. I like the interior for the most part, wish some of the sharp edge plastic wasnt there! I also like the higher safety ratings. Few other minor problems: Seat belt lock too easily. I can roll into a yield sign and try to lean over to see the road and I get held back. Maybe the dealer can fix that. I like the look in general especially the front end.

I traded in a 2001 Nissan crew cab and am more satisfied with the cab room and gas mileage, considering it has a more powerful engine, is bigger and is a 4x4. So far the quality is as good as most others models/mfrs in its class. It is also quite capable off road of which it was twice in the first couple of weeks.

I really liked this vehicle at first, but now Im starting to realize some limitations in comparison to what Im used to. Im a beach goer, and always drive on the beach. I got stuck immediately after going out, and had to be pulled back to pavement by a Dodge Ram 1500. The problem is clearance. This truck has less clearance the a Chevy Malibu (check chevy www, and youll see). This is truely a disappointment for me. Other than that, I really liked the truck.

have the inline 5 (not listed in the above pull down menu) uncomfortabl seats engine noise in cab very high cheap looking interior features lousy radio speakers

  • Wind Noise! - 2004 Chevrolet Colorado

Very nice little truck to knock around town, but dont get it out on the highway over 60mph without ear plugs as it sounds like you were caught in a wind storm (outside standard cab noise) Dealer replaced windshield without much if any help. Local dealer admitted some have already traded in standard cab models because of the wind noise and said "I dont see how the engineers missed this" Brochure for LS model claims 6 radio speaker but I can find only 4.
