This Year's Model Updates:

The 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt remains unchanged from last year, except for a few swaps of standard and optional feature content.

Pros:
  • Respectable fuel economy, smooth ride, quiet cabin, excellent performance in SS trim.
Cons:
  • Cramped backseat, mediocre fit and finish, missing common safety features, lack of interior storage, dull handling (except for the SS), poor braking on XFE models.

  • Like the Cobalt a LOT - 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

Have had the Cobalt almost a week now - averaging over 30 mpg already in my commute (17 miles each way). It has a lot of nice features for an "entry level" car. Got the chrome package, love the Bluetooth and OnStar. Adults can sit in back seat - even with my seat back for driving! Manual seat has lumbar adjustment and pumps up and down for height adjustment - NICE!

I bought a lt sedan winter Olympic team Canada edition 2 months ago. Love all the options it comes with. The exterior has chrome package and spoiler which makes it look nice. I expected better gas mileage but it doesnt seem to differ from my old 1999 z24. Power wise, I find my cobalt lacking it when I accelerate. Perhaps its because I was used to z24. However, I do love the quieter and smoother ride. I did notice some defects in the interior and exterior. The craftsmanship could be better. With the money I spent on it, I expect to see no flaws.

  • A very nice car - 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

This car is just a tight & quiet as any larger passenger vehicle I could find. The fuel economy is excellent on the highway with the 4 speed automatic. The stereo is very good & has the bluetooth option. The value for the money is terrific. I would recommend this car to anyone in the market for a smaller fuel efficient car.

I got this XFE with the LT interior. The seats are very comfortable. My gas mileage is double that of my minivan. The transition was a little stiff new, but 2000 miles later is OK. Great deal for the money.

I have a 120 mi daily driving, most of it is on express ways, so here it goes. The goods: Transmission, Engine, MPG. This car gets the MPG that your right foot dictates, you drive hard, you get less, drive at the limit, and is outstanding. The tranny/engine are pretty decent but Manual is the way to go, Id be afraid of it in automatic. The bad: OEM Tires!, I guess that GM tried to get better MPG using these tires that are super soft on the walls and dont have any grip, theyre terrible. Breaks, they felt really soft in the beginning, 5500K mi. later they get decent. Rear view. Do No Get The Spoiler! period. Seat comfort. I had an Aveo SVM before that was way more comfortable.

  • Went for seconds! - 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

I owned a 2006 LT and it was a very safe and fun car to drive. I loved it so much I had to drive to Newnan Ga, from South Florida to purchase my 2010 as dealers here didnt want to deal. This one is essentially the SS..heated leather seats and all the bells and whistles but with an automatic tranny. I have noticed it seems the turning ratio is not as tight as the 2006, but getting used to it. Best car around for the buck.

  • SS is a GREAT BANG for the BUCK!!! - 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

I live in Arizona also and my SS doesnt have any issues with the A/C...you should go get it checked out..I also have a new camaro in which this is my daily car and its great power even stock, very comfortable and smooth ride to drive even on nice long trips that I take to cali, the A/C blasts Ice cold to where I have to turn it off it gets too cold, and overall for the price of the car and with the warranty the cars a steal if you can get your hands on a SS...Ive never been happier with any of my everyday cars as I am with this one

  • Love it - 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

Bought my Cobalt 3 months ago and love it so far. Im averaging an incredible 32.5 mpg on my 92 mile/day commute. Not the most comfortable inside but Im 63 and 220 lbs so any car would be uncomfortable. Better mpg and horsepower than Corolla/Civic etc so if you take it for what it is theres no better car in its class. Highly recommended for a commuter
