Overview & Reviews
New LS Sport trim level for coupes and sedans that features an all-new 2.2-liter EcoTec engine. A Z24 sedan joins the Z24 coupe at the top end of the lineup, while both the LS and base model Cavalier gain additional standard equipment and an optional Sport appearance package. Both Z24 models get an upgraded stereo and an optional Sport appearance package will be available later in the year. Three new colors have also been added along with an upgraded cloth interior.
- Affordably priced, new EcoTec four-cylinder engine, Z24 is a stylish and speedy low-buck sport coupe.
- You get what you pay for in terms of feature content, haphazard build quality, dreadfully uncomfortable seats.

commuter car - 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier
By philnjean - January 11 - 2:00 amPoor brakes. Ive only got 19K on this thing and the front rotors have already been replaced. When the antilock engages it makes a terrible noise and it feels like its just rolling with no brakes. Dealer says its normal. I cant believe brakes that sound like that are normal. Average fuel economy. Interior looks cheap, but car was cheap. Awful resale. Only one year old and its lost half its value

Chevys It! - 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier
By Rad Tad - October 27 - 2:00 amThe engine is sluggish, the imterior parts are cheap and break easily. It doesnt have much horsepower. It has more along the lines of grasshopper power. I wish I could trade it, but because it doesnt hold its value well I would be terribly upside down!

By danielles fat - July 27 - 2:00 amcarv -a-lier horribly built car..no power.no quality.if u have it get rid of it before the warranty runs out..if it lasts that long.everything breaks.transmission rattles (charactaristic, not a defect)..rides like @#%$, For performance leave car at the dealer for warranty services

Dont Buy a Cavalier - 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier
By cgehlich - April 29 - 2:00 amI have had many problems with my Cavalier. This month alone, I have put over $700 into the car, not including my car payment or insurance. Granted, I drive the car a lot. But, many things continuously go wrong with it that shouldnt (Engine Light goes on, Emergency Brake dont always hold, there is a crack in the dashboard - no one ever since in the passenger seat, so I have no idea how this came out, etc.). Ive done everything to keep the car well-maintained, but nothing seems to be working.

Never Buy a Cavalier - 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier
By Jon&Stacy - February 3 - 2:00 amI have to say they are good for gas milege. As a over all car would never own one again. They do not have any power and are very prone to break down. They are not worth your time or effort or money. They are only good cars if you want to spend the money onthem to repair.
