Overview & Reviews
The base 3.2-liter V6 engine has been dropped; a 2.8-liter V6 will become the base engine later in the model year. A six-speed manual transmission is now standard regardless of engine choice. Package contents have been shuffled, and "synthetic leather" will be added to the options list later this year.
- Excellent handling, spacious cabin, wide array of available features, alternative look.

Cadillac a winner - 2005 Cadillac CTS
By Cadillac done right - June 29 - 3:46 pmI have had many new cars, this is my first Cadillac but will not be my last. I am very satisfied with the ride and performance. Everything works and works well. I looked at Audi, BMW and Benz models in this price range and they did not come close to ride, roominess or smooth performance.

Excellence from Cadillac - 2005 Cadillac CTS
By James Westwick - June 25 - 4:54 pmI tried hard to hear a squeak, feel a vibration, receive a jolt from hitting a pothole. No Success. After some twenty years of Nissans, Mercedes and Porsches, I am now back to a good old American-built car. The Cadillac CTS has it all -- whether on a superhighway or in the driveway. Solid, positive handlng, even a powerful engine that runs on 87-octane fuel. Who would have thought?

2005 CTS - 2005 Cadillac CTS
By Wesley B. Payne - June 22 - 9:36 amCTS is a very solid and potent driver. The handling is firm and responsive. The 3.6 L v6 is snappy and gives confidence. Overall it is a pleasure to drive and has a very sporty feel, yet still provides comfort for long hauls.

Great 4 Door Sports luxury car. - 2005 Cadillac CTS
By Beverly J. Vaughn - June 20 - 1:44 amMy husband drives CTS all the time. He is 62 and drives the CTS like he is 25. The accelleration is extremely good against similar foreign autos. Although it is a 4 door sports car it does ride well. The 10 way seats allow us to ride very comfortablly while we listen to SUNNY (24) on the satelite radio. Handling is teriffic. Sure wish the V8 wasnt so expensive after all I am 76 years young. Happy Motoring.

Mega Car - 2005 Cadillac CTS
By Mike - June 16 - 12:31 pmNot sure what Edmunds say that this car cant keep up with its competitors. This is an unbelievable automobile. Its fast, handles like nothing else in its bracket, and looks great. Just ask the all the gawkers to look at this car when it passes by. My is car black and black and it looks great. Have 28,000 miles on it with no quality problems, in fact brake wear is fantastic. All in all this is car with no competition.

Money Pit - 2005 Cadillac CTS
By Rafael - June 7 - 1:57 amI bought this car when I was 18, 7 years ago. Its been a money pit ever since I got it. Poorly made. Engine seized up 9 months after I got it (is always made sure oil changes were ahead of schedule). Luckily the warranty covered it....cool. It started making a noise in transmission, so I had to replace the flex plate and torque converter. Now my check engine light turned on and I have multiple cylinder misfires. Awesome, had to fix that. Now due to all the rain weve been getting, Im finding at least 2 leaks and theres water EVERYWHERE! Now I have to drain all the water out and clean all the mold thats growing in my trunk and passenger side. Stay away from this car! You might have the same bad luck like I did.

The best car I have had so far - 2005 Cadillac CTS
By Sean - June 4 - 7:39 amThis car drives so smooth, has the power to do what I want and the styling that sets it apart. I have owned Mercedes, Jaguar and BMW so I never expected that a GM car would knock my socks off! Almost a year and I still love it.
