Overview & Reviews
Many features that were on the standard equipment list for 2002 have been deemed optional, or deleted altogether, for the 2003 model. Deleted items are speed variable power-assisted steering, which is being downgraded to a nonspeed dependent system, and heated outside rearview mirrors. Side-impact airbags are now optional instead of standard (and continue to be available with leather seating surfaces only), as is a rear split-folding seat. Safety also comes with a separate price tag, as antilock brakes and traction control are now options on the lower Regal LS, but together with a tire inflation monitor, remain standard on the more upscale GS model.
On the upside, all Regals receive an improved starter for cold weather cranking, and a new impact-absorbent headliner, plus two new packages to help Regal buyers group options for a better price. The new Luxury Package includes dual-zone climate control, illuminated visor mirrors, auto-dimming inside and outside rearview mirrors, AM/FM stereo with both cassette and CD player and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. The simpler Leather and Wheel Package includes leather seats, a split-folding rear seat and 15-inch aluminum wheels.
- Powerful supercharged V6 in GS, spacious interior, clean styling.
- Dull image, dated interior design.

Pleased with this Regal GS - 2003 Buick Regal
By Regal GS owner - June 3 - 2:00 amI received a good deal on this car, and have been pleased with lively performance, good reliability at the end of 3 months of leasing (built in a modern plant in Ontario), and an all- around good drive. I feel well cared for in this car that has lots of features, and despite some initial skepticism, the On-Star system is useful. I have received superior dealership support.

Mt 2002 Buick Regal LS - 2003 Buick Regal
By cscasi - May 31 - 2:00 amReally a great vehicle except I have had continual problems with the air conditioning but the dealership states nothing is wrong even though my wifes Buick Century cooling air is about 20 degrees cooler coming form the air conditioning. Figure that. Still get some wind noise I think due to the outside mirrors. Overall, I am still a Buick man!!

What are those folks at GM doing? - 2003 Buick Regal
By In Pgh - April 25 - 2:00 amThis is a dated car and doesnt compare well with the competition. Who is Earl Hartley, and who cares? However, "GM points," 0% financing and generous dealer discount ultimately made the Regal more attractive. Reliability was another consideration. In four years of driving a 99, I had no problems whatsoever. Only complaint was cheap Goodyear tires which lasted about 20k miles.

Great value - 2003 Buick Regal
By Bill T. - April 19 - 2:00 amThis is a great value for a car that has so much to offer. A boulevard ride, great performance and brakes and an ergonomically correct instrument panel (everything is within easy reach).

2002 Regal LS - 2003 Buick Regal
By lamronh49 - January 13 - 2:00 amBought this with 15K, traded Accord LX V6. This car needed tires badly, the 215.70.15 badly limit handling, wail like banshees. I replaced with Yoko Avid 235.60.15. Torque is great, far superior to Honda 3L, such instant grunt is appreciated. Transmission well mated to the excellent 3.8 torquemeister. #2 need is shocks, a Koni option would be nice. This car is handsome but invisible, std. ABS with 4wdisc excellent. Seats could be firmer, would like a 20 gal tank. Only problem has been with aftermarket struts.

EXCELLENT MOTOR CAR - 2003 Buick Regal
By dale muller - January 8 - 2:00 amThe first buick i`ve bought in which I purchased (5) other cars in the past. This by far the best car I`ve ever owned the past cars were chev. I`m most satisfied with the Buick GS Regal 2002 .The only problem I`ve had was a rattle in the glove box. This problem was rectified in quick order by the dealership ,which is the best I`ve had experience with all the cars I purchased in the .
