The 6 Series receives an engine upgrade in 2006 and now boasts a 4.8-liter V8 with 360 horsepower. As a result, nomenclature changes slightly, and the car is referred to as the 650i.
- Nimble handling, smooth and quiet ride, endless power from ultrasmooth V8, elegant interior design, supportive seats, large trunk in coupe.
- Fussy iDrive control requires practice to operate, small backseat.

By TERRY C - December 19 - 7:43 pmI have been used to Mercedes since 1985 and fine this a fun car to drive. Needs some help in the rear seat area. Also needs touch screen when using your bluetooth phone. Passenger side needs memory seats. The "I" (information) button and screen are a little confusing and you have to be careful using it when driving. I did not get the head up option and that would be helpful using the navigation screen and the "I" system

Away with the iPod - 2006 BMW 6-Series

It requires unsafe driver attention to use and is a dangerous distraction if used while moving. 2. The stereo system turns on each time you start the car. This is very annoying.

This is the first BMW I am totally pleased with my 650, its the fastest car I have ever owned, and the interior is not only beautiful but very user friendly, I recommend this car to anyone that enjoys driving.

WOW - 2006 BMW 6-Series
By Tom - October 22 - 1:43 pmIt does not get any better than this. I traded a SL500 as I felt it was all name but poor mechanically. What a shock to drive this 650! I am sort of a car nut and buy lots of cars - I have never owned anything this much fun to drive, this comfortable as a sporty car should be. In short, If a converitble is in your future, this is the one - comfortable in the back, plenty of trunk space and no lack on driving thrill. I am a tough critic and this is the best.
