This Year's Model Updates:

The most significant change for the 2007 Audi A4 family is the updating of the Cabriolet body style. In addition to adopting the refreshed styling and hardware already on the sedan and wagon, the Cabriolet features a new acoustic top that promises a quieter ride. Other updates this year include a revised "Symphony" audio system, which can now play MP3-encoded CDs, and some shuffling of features. The 2.0T gains a new four-spoke steering wheel but loses the option of having a driver seat/mirror memory feature or heated rear seats. The 3.2 gets a standard sunroof (excluding Cabriolet versions) and paddle-shifters for automatic transmission-equipped models. Finally, satellite radio choice is now limited to Sirius, and Audi's free maintenance program has been discontinued.

Pros:
  • High-quality cabin, agile handling, high crash-test scores, available in multiple body styles, all-wheel-drive availability.
Cons:
  • Tight rear seat, 2.0T a little light on low-end torque.

Have owned the car for 6 days and love it! Went with FWD and CVT due to price -- wanted a convertible and this is a 3rd car that will not do heavy duty driving or commuting. For general driving, the FWD is more than fine. Engine is great with 2.0T -- peppy and efficient at same time. Brother-in-law owns 05 1.8T Sedan - drove my 2.0T & says its much stronger from a standstill. Upgraded stereo with Bose/Sirius is fabulous. Interior fit/feel is intuitive, with lots of little features that make it a pleasure to drive. Top up/ down process is painless and takes less that 30 seconds. Overall, no regrets and the price was right, compared to a used 2006 BMW convertible.

  • Near perfection! - 2007 Audi A4

With the new 3.2 A-4, Audi has designed, in my opinion, the BMW-killer. This car outdoes the 3-series in three important categories of performance, appearance, and overall value, with handling being a tie. Im so glad I kicked in the extra few thousand to get the 6-cyl. over the buzzy little turbo 4 cyl. It was well worth it, as the six gives you an extra 55 naturally-aspirated HP, which is noticeable on hilly roads as well as in passing situations. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

  • Hard starting - 2007 Audi A4

Since September of 06, this car has been returned to the dealer for a total of approximately 6 weeks to try to fix a serious mechanical problem - namely, extremely hard starting in cold weather. Based on Audis suggestions, a number of the cars components, including the coils and exhaust valves, have been replaced, but the problem has been neither identified or fixed. (The car has currently been at the dealer for almost 4 weeks with no progress.)

  • So far so good - 2007 Audi A4

Start with the engine - 2.0 liter mated to the 6 spd and the Quattro drive... astonishing torque and smoothness for the size. Turbo lag is virtually eliminated with DFI. Low end grunt is not awesome, but its not to be expected. The exterior is a matter of taste - I love the design. Interior is very quiet, comfortable, well appointed.

  • Great Entry Level Sedan A4 3.2 6MT - 2007 Audi A4

This is a great car for city driving. Plenty of power and easy to handle. Living in Lake Mary, FL and dealing with a lot of out of town tourist you have to be able to react to slow and fast drivers. Like most cities with interstate traffic, a quick responsive vehicle is a must. The A4 with the 3.2L has the power to lane change and pass when needed. I also owned a 2012 S4 6MT and the less powered A4 is just as nimble, I didnt say as powerful, but this little package gets the job done with fun. There are nice exterior modifications you can do to this car which really enhance the lovely design of the B7 series. I really enjoy this car and I think its a great sedan for those who enjoy luxury and spirited driving. The only two things I dislike about the car is I wish it had a 22 gallon gas tank and could be a little quieter. It really is a smooth riding vehicle and I enjoy it a great deal. I have owned BMWs, Chryslers, Corvettes, Porsches, and Volvos, and this Audi A4 is a superb automobile.
