  • Still great after 7 years - 2003 Acura TL

Now with 170,000 miles, this car still runs great with no problems. Transmission was fixed under recall several years ago. Otherwise, no major problems. Very fun to drive and show off. One great looking car in nighthawk black Pearl. (and get compliments on it still).

  • Very Pleased - 2003 Acura TL

I bought my 03 TL used with 61k miles. The car belonged to a coworker who traded in in on a new one. The car had a full history of all service work performed, done only at the selling dealership. At 67k, I had the brakes replaced. At 70k, I noticed a whine in the transmission and took it to the dealership. The Service Mgr. rode with me to check it out and decided to keep the car for evaluation. He called back 4 hours later and said that Acura and the dealership were going to replace the tranny at no cost to me. Very pleased. I get 22/23 mpg in town and 32 mpg on the road. This is an excellent car.

  • Fun TL Type S - 2003 Acura TL

This car is one of the best cars I have ever had! It really quick and shames all those expensive German cars! I have owned my Type S for 5 years now and have had only on problem. The TRANSMISSION! It has be replaces 3 times and now is on its way out again with only 40,000 miles on the new tranny! Other then that the car has be PERFECT! I am now buying a 2010 TL. These cars are built to last minus the transmission on the older TLs. I also love the Nav even if its a little slow!

  • Glorified Honda...So whats your point? - 2003 Acura TL
    By -

I love these reviews Ive seen that complain the 3.2TL is a "glorified Honda Accord". Acura has glorified something that is already glorious; is that supposed to be a negative? Yes, the 3.2TL is a glorified Honda. The Type S is REALLY glorified. Which is what every Honda lover aspires graduating to. Its fast, its sharp, its loaded with options, and its dependable like the Hondas. And the Navigation System is no "toy". Its fun like one, but it is very useful. Friends and family love this car. Even the kids love the look since the re- design.

  • Fun for the Aging Boomer - 2003 Acura TL

TL-S is great driving. Surprisingly good MPG. Traded up from an A-4. Performance is comparable. Interior comfort is much better. And cost about 6-8 K less!! Minor nitpick. The paint coat seems susceptible to dings. I seem to be getting a few too many nicks.

  • Best Sporty Bet in Full Sized Four Door - 2003 Acura TL
    By -

The TL-S is nearly a true sports car masquerading as a family sedan. Gobs of power, great stereo, supremely comfortable seats on long rides, perforated leather keeps things comfy; Great seating for four adults with a huge trunk; endless options list. A similarly equiped BMW would cost $40k+. Handling has some problems with standard front/rear sway bars.

  • Very reliable, build performance car - 2003 Acura TL

Except for exterior styling and average braking, the car is outstanding

  • Great Reliable car - 2003 Acura TL

I bought the car new. After 105K miles its still running great. I did have some transmission trouble and while it was out of warranty and did not fall within the recall group, Acura graciously replaced it. Feel good about the safety features.

  • Luxary and Power at an Affordable Price - 2003 Acura TL
    By -

Just purchased my 2003 TLS last week. After owning Acuras in the past, I knew about the quality and dependability, but had no idea of the value of the TLS. This car flat out performs. It has great power, comfort and features. The back seat is roomy enough for my 3 children or 2 adults to fit comfortably. The engine has power to spare and the features rival any entry level luxary sedan on the market.

  • 2003 TL Type S with Navigation, Spoiler - 2003 Acura TL
    By -

I was torned between this car and the Lexus IS 300. The Type S won me over due to its excellent value, long list of features, resale value, and reputation for quality. Including tax, I paid $33,500. I have less than 1,000 miles on it and it is therefore still in the break in period. I have been a long-term BMW owner (5 and 7 series). The BMW handles better, but the total cost of ownership of these cars are way too expensive. This is an excellent handling car for a front drive vehicle with outstanding accelaration and fuel ecconomy for its size.
